In the spring of 2015, at the urging of family and friends, Pastor Jesse Morales of Tabernacle of Faith and Pastor Sam Spatafore of Tree of Life began to meet to discuss ministry and the goodness of God.
Soon, God had knit their hearts together. They recognized the similarities in their philosophies of ministry and in their personal experiences. They also recognized that God appeared to be up to something. Soon they discussed the possibility of sharing a facility.
On September 6, 2015, Tabernacle of Faith and Tree of Life held their first joint meeting. From there they held combined Prayer Meetings, Classes, Bible Studies, Men’s Meetings, and Women’s Meetings. It became evident that God was putting us together to better serve Him and our Neighbors.

Later, the churches joined to host a missionary from Jordan whose church ministers to Syrian refugees. Because we saw that together we could not only serve our neighbors, but also the world, we discussed a possible merger.
On September 4, 2016 both churches voted on whether or not to approve the merger and becomeThames River Church. he vote was nearly unanimous; there was only one “No” vote.
Right now Tabernacle of Faith and Tree of Life are in transition. The inauguration will take place on January 1, 2017. We’d love for you to be a part of the new family that God is creating. We hope that our transition does not inconvenience you!
